Our clients sometimes see the following : They want to add asx files to show some streaming media to your website, but instead you receive different characters back and no media player is opened.
Sollution:
Go to your personal control panel, and go to:
-advanced tools
-mime types
in "mime type" type: video/x-ms-asf
in "extention(s)" type: asf asx
You will get the following message after successfully adding the entry:
The mime type video/x-ms-asf has been assigned to the extensions asf asx
When looking back in your mime list you will see the following added:
User Defined Mime Types
video/x-ms-asf asf asx
