In cPanel you can enable hotlink protection, this can be done from the control-panel; with this option enabled someone can not use your images or content by simply linking to your site.
Warning: Removing hotlinking within cPanel can cause your original .htaccess file to be adjusted; if you had rewrite rules added by another software package (i.e. wordpress) it may remove these lines as well. In case of doubt aks our tech support for assistance.
