Oh no, your site is suspended, what do you need to do now ?
Well first of all if your site is suspended in 99.999% of the cases you should have received an email or get one in the next hour (when the suspension just has been placed).
In that email we tell you about the cause of the suspension.
Late payment
One of the causes of a suspension could be a late payment, in this case please login to our support portal at https://www.040support.nl and see if there are open invoices which are passed the due date (the date that the payments should be received by us).
once you made your payment (using paypal, creditcard or iDeal) your account will be automatically unsuspended and you are back online. If you still see the 'suspension page' please restart your browser (or sometime computer) and you should see your site again, if not feel free to contact us for verfication.
Spam/Phishing/Virus/Attack
Another cause of suspension could be illegal activities taking place on your account, you are likely not aware anyone is doing this, but in most cases it means your account has been compromised and that the current situation is endangering other clients on the server; depending on the type of activities our abuse team can decide to suspend your site. The only way to get your account back active is to contact our abuse department during business hours as only they have full information about the attack. Also you must be able to fix the issue directly after our abuse department gives you back access to the account. Requesting to open the account be leaving the account vulnerable may cause another suspension or even termination of the account as per our terms of service, which we and you want to avoid.
Reasons for not receiving a mail regarding your suspension
This almost never happens, but there are a few cases where we do not send warnings out ; i.e.
1) when you run a wordpress site without the proper security tools to avoid bruteforce attacks (currently bruteprotect is a manditory plugin to install to avoid brute force attacks against your wordpress site).
we have send multiple emails regarding this already as well informed clients that a suspension may occure if we see an attack which is related to not installing the proper security utils. In most cases we try to inform you though, but as it almost always is in combination of number 2 on this list, it may get delayed.
2) When we are migitating an attack and have to suspend your site to battle the attack ; you will receive an email about this, but restoring services for our other clients is having the priority; so it is possible you did not (yet) receive an email about the suspension because we are busy getting the server back online. In this case we will contact you as soon at the attacks have ceased or the server stability is back to normal levels.
You are always welcome to create a ticket and ask us about the reason and we will of course work with you to resolve the issue, but please keep in mind that some issues can only be resolved by our abuse department and are in place to avoid the datacenters to null route the servers and affect all clients on the server.
